BIOGRAPHY
In 1993, Acadia and eastern Quebec has been hit by a "suroit". It means the blowing wind, which brings back the good weather from L'ile de la Madeleine. Since then, everywhere from Acadia to Quebec to France people have dance on the devilish melodies. This first album has created a one hit after an other. "Léo", "Mystificoté", "Les filles de Larochelle" et "Hé yaille yaille" are juste some of them. From original compositions inspired by small things of life, this is how we describe Suroit's music. Their major influences are galeo-cletique, folk, blue grass and country but always sticking to songs reminding us of the salted water sent. The album "Suroit" is a collection of songs and traditional melodies with multiple colors inspired by their native islands, deep France and Louisiana. A real good album, which looks great for another success for this well, established band.
