Un père à la hauteur
BIOGRAPHY
Du bon bord is a folk album that took root in the Magdalen Islands. It is the result of a meeting between Clément Cormier and François Richard, who wrote the music for nine of the eleven original songs. This album features a lot of warmth, like Clément’s voice, with simple and human tales that are skillfully spun. He is inspired by the meeting of city and country life, the alley and the road. Ramer fort was recorded in the intimate setting of one of the Islands’ modest houses and finalized in a Montréal studio. An original sound, with a variety of rhythms and emotions. Many talented musicians join Clément: Mathieu Dandurand on guitar (Soul Attorney, Les Respectables, Mes Aïeux, Stefie Shock), Sylvie Desrochers on the recorder (Les 4 Jeudis), Josée Lapierre with her voice, Marc-André Larocque on drums (Zachary Richard), Claude Leblanc on piano (Praxis), Éloi à Alcide on the harmonica and steel guitar, Steve Poirier on the fiddle, François Richard on guitar, Nadine Turbide on the accordion (Fun Noir), with the participation of Cathy Turnbull and Annie Vadnais.
