In 1995-1996, Marcella Richard, a PEI Acadian, recorded the only song " Le gars de Mont- Carmel " which was distributed to all Louisiana and Atlantic radio stations. The response to this first melody with a country accent did not keep itself waiting. Radio people and the public ask for an album. In 1997, Marcella enters the studio to offer us finally a musical product of very high quality with "Le bon fricot ". Some traditional tunes are next to new compositions prepared thanks to the collaboration of some author-songwriter-performers from PEI. Since the first time you hear Marcella's album you will be on familiar grounds. Some of her songs you absolutely have to hear are "Les gars de Mont-Carmel", "Le bon fricot" and the new country version of " I went to the market".
