Michel Brousseau: "Recording and performing Chopin's songs is very exciting for me, not only because they are so beautiful and so enjoyable, but also because, given her background, Maria is, in my mind, the ideal person to best interpret these melodies".

Maria Knapik: "All my life, I dreamt that one day I would record Chopin's set of nineteen songs, or pieśni as we call them in Polish, for voice and piano. For him, singing was the embodiment of beauty".
